NCAA Top 25 Basketball Scores and Records

(Sporting Alert) — Sam Thompson and Shannon Scott each scored 13 points as No. 10 Ohio State beat No. 17 Marquette, 52-35 in a college basketball game at BMO Harris Bradley Center on Saturday.

Thompson also contributed eight rebounds and three assists off the bench, while Scott finished with five steals in the victory. Star guard Aaron Craft put in an allround performance of 10 points, 10 assists, seven rebounds and two steals for the Buckeyes (3-0).

Todd Mayo, 11 points and seven boards and Davante Gardner, 10 points and six rebounds led the Golden Eagles (2-1).

No. 16 Wichita State Stay Undefeated

Also on Saturday, in top 25 action, No. 16 Wichita State (4-0) defeated the winless Tennessee State Tigers (0-4), 85-71.

Tekele Cotton led the Shockers with 18 points, while Cleanthony Early finished with 16 points and seven rebounds and Nick Wiggins had 12 points.

Patrick Miller scored a game high 23 points to lead the Tigers, while M.J. Rhett had 16 points and 11 rebounds in the defeat.

No. 25 Virginia Kept Davidson Winless

Elsewhere, Mike Tobey had 18 points and seven boards, Malcolm Brogdon supported with 17 points and seven rebounds and Justin Anderson, 12 points and eight boards and No. 25 Virginia (2-1) kept Davidson (0-3) winless with a 70-57 win at Time Warner Cable Arena, in North Carolina.

Akil Mitchell also contributed heavily, scoring 11 points and pulling down nine rebounds in the win for the Cavaliers.

Three players, De’Mon Brooks, Brian Sullivan and Tyler Kalinoski all finished with 13 points for the Wildcats. Kalinoski also had 11 rebounds in the defeat.
