NEW YORK (Sporting Alert) — NCAA top 25 college men’s basketball scores from the list of games that took place on Wednesday night, Feb. 19.

The shock of the night came at the Carrier Dome, where Boston College (7-19) stunned No.1 Syracuse 62-59 in overtime, dealing the Orange (25-1) their first loss of the season.

Olivier Hanlan, who hit one of the the two clutched 3s in overtime, led the way for the Eagles with 20 points, while Ryan Anderson pulled down 14 rebounds in the victory as Boston College stopped a five game losing streak and returned the 69-59 defeat they suffered at home to Syracuse on Jan. 13.

“It was an emotional game for us,” BC coach Steve Donahue said. “It’s been incredible for these guys to persevere. We’ve played well in a lot of games.”

C.J. Fair scored 20 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to the lead the way for Syracuse, who shot a season-low 32.2 percent from the field, including going 2 of 12 from 3-point range.

“When you get in enough of these games, there’s going to be one you’re not going to make a play. That’s what happens,” said Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim.

“At the end of games, you get into enough of these games, you’re not going to win.”

Defeat for Syracuse on Wednesday night now leaves No. 3 Wichita State (28-0) as the only NCAA top 25 college men’s basketball undefeated team left this season.

Wichita State grabbed an 88-74 victory over Loyola of Chicago (9-18), while No.2 Florida (24-2) had to battle hard for their 71-66 win over Auburn (12-12) and No. 4 Arizona (24-2) was taken to overtime by Utah (17-9) by managed to secure the 67-63 win.
