The Super Eagles qualified for their fifth World Cup finals in six tries with victory over Ethiopia in a two-legged play-offs tie.

"It wasn't easy trying to qualify for the Nations Cup and the World Cup at the same time; it wasn't easy," revealed head coach Stephen Keshi on cafonline.com.

"It was a very big battle and that's why I thanked the players because a lot of sacrifices went into this."

Keshi could give some of his regulars a break, at least later on during the game, while defender Godfrey Oboabona, who was stretchered off the field on Saturday in the win over Ethiopia is doubtful because on an injury.

On Monday Keshi will be hoping his team left some energy in reserve to face Italy, who themselves are continuing their preparations for Brazil 2014.

Italy's last three games ended in draws, including Friday night's 1-1 friendly tie with Germany at San Siro and many are hoping the Azzurri will start getting it together.
