After a week-long wait, Hull City and Newcastle United will on Sunday know whether or not they will be playing in the Premier League next season.

Hull City, currently in the bottom three with the already relegated QPR and Burnley, face a massive task against Manchester United.

The Tigers must beat Manchester United on this final day to have chance of avoiding drop, but will also need Newcastle United to lose to West Ham United in their contest.

Steve Bruce comes into this game searching for his first win over the Red Devils with any team in 20 games and it could end in tears at the KC Stadium for the manager and his Tigers.

“The demands on any Manchester United player is such that you have to win, no matter who you play. I do not wish that there is nothing to play for them,” Bruce said.

“All eyes are on us, let’s hope it is our day especially for the fans who have been brilliant.”

Newcastle United, in the meantime, have the easier task of the two clubs.

Win against West Ham United and secure English Premier League status again next season.

“We gotta take care of our business,” Newcastle boss John Carver said.

“I can’t believe it’s come to this, but it has and we’ve got to deal with it.

“I’ve told the guys to try and stay off social media and keep away from watching other football because that can mentally fatigue you and add more pressure.

“We have four or five players who were here the last time this team was relegated and so they know what it feels like – I know what it feels like.

“It was hard to take and that’s stayed with me. I’ll use that in my head and I’ll use it as a motivational tool to try and get a reaction out of the players.”

With the top four teams already decided, the battle for Europa League places now takes center stage with Liverpool, Southampton and Tottenham all hunting fifth place.
