<h2><strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>MADRID</strong> (Sporting Alert) — <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'><strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>Real</strong> Madrid</strong> will continue to monitor Gareth Bale’s <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>injury</strong> progress after the winger was ruled out of tonight’s Champions League clash with FC Copenhagen.</h2>
<p>Bale was a late withdrawal from the <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'><strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>Real</strong> Madrid</strong> <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>squad</strong> on Tuesday after the Spanish La Liga club revealed that he picked up a thigh <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>injury</strong>.</p>
<p>The former Tottenham star went through tests on Wednesday and the club says his condition will continue to be monitored.</p>
<p>“fter the tests carried out today, the player <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>Gareth Bale</strong> has been diagnosed with a muscle contracture in his left thigh,” a statement said on www.RealMadrid.com.</p>
<p>“It remains to be seen how the condition develops.”</p>
<p><strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'><strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>Real</strong> Madrid</strong> will be looking to bounce back and improved from the performance that saw them suffering a 1-0 derby defeat at home to Atletico Madrid over the weekend.</p>
<p>“The Atlético match was no good,” manager Carlo Ancelotti revealed. “We need to react, to improve our results and performances. I feel very confident about my players and I’m sure we are going to respond well.”</p>
<p>He added: “The team are not playing well because we have changed a lot of things but they are going to play better soon, that’s for sure.</p>
<p>“I have a very good <strong class='StrictlyAutoTagBold'>squad</strong>. They have to play better but this is my problem and I’m going to fix it.”</p>
