(Sporting Alert) — Results, scores and NBA standings following the games that took place in the league on Tuesday night, Jan. 14.

In Memphis, Courtney Lee set the pace with a season-high 24 points and the Grizzlies (18-19) defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 90-87, while Zach Randolph finished with 23 points and 13 rebounds and center Marc Gasol’s returned to the lineup and scored 12 points.

Kevin Durant scored a game-high 37 points and Reggie Jackson added 17 for the Thunder (28-10) in the defeat.

In Los Angeles, Luol Deng scored 27 points and Anderson Varejao finished with 18 points and 18 rebounds, as the Cleveland Cavaliers (14-24) beat the Lakers 120-118. Mike Brown made a winning return to the Staples Center after being fired by the club early last season.

Nick Young scored 28 points off the bench, and Jodie Meeks scored a season-high 26 points, which included six of 10 from 3-pointers, but they couldn’t help the Lakers from dropping its fifth straight game.

Pau Gasol added 20 points and 12 rebounds for Los Angeles (14-24).

Elsewhere, Al Jefferson poured in a season-high 35 points and point guard Kemba Walker added 25 and the Charlotte Bobcats (16-23) defeated the New York Knicks (15-23), 108-98.

Carmelo Anthony scored 20 points and Amar’e Stoudemire added 17 as the Knicks (15-23) saw its five-game winning streak snapped.

At Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, The Indiana Pacers (30-7) beat the Sacramento Kings (13-23), 116-92, with Paul George scoring 31 points in the win.

DeMarcus Cousins had 31 points and 13 rebounds for the Kings in the defeat.
