Costa had been doubtful for the game because of a hamstring problem that forced him to leave the game early during last week’s 1-1 La Liga game with Barcelona, but has come through training and is fit to start alongside David Villa in the Atletico attack.
However, midfielder Arda Turan misses out because of an injury.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo does start along Benzema and Gareth Bale. Pepe, however, starts on the bench, while Luka Modric and Sami Khedira start in the middle.
