CHICAGO (SportingAlert.com) — Jimmy Butler scored 21 points and rookie Doug McDermott added 16 and the Chicago Bulls sealed a 110-90 victory over the Denver Nuggets in preseason game on Monday night
Butler went 7 of 8 from the field and a perfect seven from the free throw in 22 minutes, while McDermott shot 5 of 8 from the floor, including 3 of 4 from the three point range.
Point guard Derrick Rose and Taj Gibson each had 15 points, with Nikola Mirotic finishing with 12 for the Bulls, which shot 45.6 percent from the field in the win at the United Center.
Kenneth Faried scored 19 points on 7 of 11 shooting from field to lead the Denver Nuggets, while Jusuf Nurkic added 15 and Timofey Mozgov and Arron Afflalo each scored 10 in the defeat.
Both teams were tied 58-58 at halftime.
The Chicago Bulls will continue their preseason campaign on Thursday when they play host to the Atlanta Hawks 8:00 p.m. ET, while the Denver Nuggets take on the Golden State Warriors at Wells Fargo Arena, also on the Thursday night.
