Philadelphia, PA (Sporting Alert) — Mark Sanchez threw for 332 yards and two touchdowns in leading the Philadelphia Eagles to commanding 45-21 victory over the Carolina Panthers in their Monday Night Football clash.

The Eagles (7-2), which scored 31 points in the first half, forced five turnovers and sacked Cam Newton nine times, including five in the first half.

Newton, despite having an off night by his standards, finished with 25 of 40 completed passes for 306 yards and two touchdowns for the Panthers (3-6-1).

He was also intercepted three times.

With the win, The Eagles, which now won two in a row and four of the past five, stayed first in the NFC East.

Carolina, which was losing its fourth straight and sixth in the last seven outings, is second in the NFC South.

Cam Newton and the Panthers have been struggling offensively and look clueless on the field at the moment.
