Saturday 23 November – EPL Games

LONDON (Sporting Alert) — The English Barclays Premier League returns to action on Saturday with a list of seven games, including the clash between leaders Arsenal and third place Southampton at Emirates Stadium.

Also on the fixture is the Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool at Goodison Park, which will kick things off.

Liverpool sits second the EPL standing with 23 points and will temporarily go on top with a victory as Arsenal (25pts) doesn’t play until later on.

Reds manager Brendan Rodgers is bracing for what is calls a “big game.”

“It’s not another game because it’s a big game,” Rodgers noted. “A derby game against a rival, but you’ve really got to focus on the performance, and if we can do that then we know whether we’re home or away, we’ll have a great chance to win the game.”

Meanwhile, Everton boss Roberto Martinez has called on the club supporters come out and get loud inside Goodison Park.

Done on the list as well is the clash between surprised third place team Southampton and Arsenal.

The Gunners are looking to bounce back from a 1-0 defeat to Manchester United in their last outing on Nov. 10, while Southampton thumped the newly promoted Hull City 4-1 in their last EPL fixture.

In other English Premier League games down for Saturday, West Ham will take on Chelsea at Boleyn Ground, Sunderland will entertain Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium, Fulham tackle Swansea at Craven Cottage, Hull travel to face Crystal Palace and Newcastle go to Norwich City.
