Scores and Result in NBA on Nov. 20

NEW YORK (Sporting Alert) — The following are the scores and results from the National Basketball Association games that took place on Wednesday, Nov. 20.

Miami Heat, playing without Dwyane Wade, who sat out his second consecutive game due to soreness in his knee, beat the Orlando Magic 120-92, with LeBron James tallying 21 points, seven assists and six rebounds in the win. Arron Afflalo finished with a game-high 30 points for the Magic in their defeat.

Indiana Pacers beat New York Knicks 103-96 at Madison Square Garden after Paul George 35 points, include scoring the three free throws which send the game into overtime. For New York, Carmelo Anthony had 30 points and 18 rebounds, but his team fell to its fourth defeat in a row and fifth in the last six.

Also on Wednesday nights, Chris Paul collected a record 12 double-double in as many games this season, following his 20 points and 11 assists performance in the Los Angeles Clippers 102-98 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center.

There was a victory also for Dallas Mavericks, who picked up a 123-120 win over the Houston Rockets with Monta Ellis scoring a season-high 37 points and eight assists and Dirk Nowitzki adding 35 points and seven rebounds. Dwight Howard tallied a season-high 33 points and 11 rebounds for the Rockets in the loss.

Elsewhere, San Antonio Spurs extend their winning streak to eight games after beating Boston Celtics 104-93 at AT&T Center, Portland Trail Blazers continued their impressive start to the season with 91-82 win over the Milwaukee Bucks, their eighth in a row as well, with LaMarcus Aldridge leading with 21 points.
