NEW YORK (Sporting Alert, Box Score) — Paul George scored 35 points and George Hill added 23 and the Indiana Pacers beat the New York KnickS 103-96 in overtime at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night.

Down 86-89 with 5.2 seconds left in the game, George was fouled by Iman Shumpert while attempting a three-pointer and the star forward finished all three shots from the free throw line to send the game into overtime.

The Pacers (10-1) then outscored the Knicks (3-8) 14-7 in overtime to seal the win and bounce back from the 110-94 defeat suffered against the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.

Carmelo Anthony led New York with 30 points and 18 rebounds on a battling night for the All-Star forward, but his efforts were not enough stop his team’s skid.

J.R. Smith scored 21 points off the bench, Beno Udrih finished with 19 points and eight rebounds and Andrea Bargnani had 10 points and eight boards in the defeat for the Knicks, which dropped its fourth game in a row and fifth in the last six.
