LONDON (Sporting Alert) — Defender Daniel Agger returns to the backline for Liverpool for today’s EPL clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Agger comes into the back four in place of Aly Cissokho, who is dropped to the substitutes bench as Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers makes one change to the starting XI which lost 2-1 at Manchester City on Boxing Day.
Luis Suarez continues to captain the team with Steven Gerrard out injured, while he also leads the attack alongside Philippe Coutinho and Raheem Sterling.
Jordan Rossiter, 16, has been named on the bench for Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has decided to start with Samuel Eto’o up front, with Fernando Torres starting on the bench against his former club.
David Luiz, Frank Lampard, Willian, Oscar and Eden Hazard all start as well for Chelsea, with Ashley Cole, Juan Mata and Andre Schurrle all on the bench.
