NEWCASTLE (Sporting Alert) — Liverpool made two changes to the team that featured the last time out for today’s English Premier League clash against Newcastle, as full-backs Aly Cissokho and Glen Johnson both returned.
The pair are back after lengthy ankle injury layoffs, but have been named in the starting lineup for the clash at St James’ Park.
Also returning is midfielder Joe Allen, who starts on the bench, while winger Raheem Sterling is also amongst the substitutes. full-back Jose Enrique misses out though.
Daniel Sturridge, Luis Suarez and Victor Moses all start in the attack for Brendan Rodgers’ side.
ForUnited, defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa and attacker Hatem Ben Arfa both start, so too does Loic Remy, Yohan Cabaye and Yoan Gouffran.
However, injured centre-back Fabricio Coloccini has been ruled out, while striker Papiss Cisse and winger Gabriel Obertan are only on the bench.
Liverpool will go top of the EPL standings with a point or a win.
