Hart missed the win over Southampton with a hamstring injury, but is back in goal for the Citizens after returning to training this week.

However, captain Vincent Kompany misses the game so Martin Demichelis comes back into the side to partner Nicolas Otamendi at center-back.

David Silva, a man described as perhaps the best playmaker in the EPL, will start in the midfield, where he will be joined by Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling.

Silva has just one goal, but has six assists in six appearances, while De Bruyne has scored four goals and assisted on six more for Manchester City in 10 games.

Midfielder Yaya Toure has been ruled out of this battle for the visitors.

Meanwhile, with Sergio Aguero on the sidelines with an injury to his heel, Wilfried Bony gets the starting nod today to lead the attack for Man City, which lead the EPL standings.

For Stoke City, in the meantime, Mame Biram Diouf and Jonathon Walters are both on the bench, with Bojan getting the nod in the attack.

Xherdan Shaqiri, Ibrahim Afellay and Marko Arnautovic will support Bojan in the hunt for goals as they look to haunt Man City’s push to win another Premier League title.

In the backline, Ryan Shawcross starts again alongside Phillipp Wollscheid in the heart of defense with Glen Johnson and Erik Pieters also playing in the back four.

Joselu, Marc Wilson, Marco van Ginkel and Charlie Adam are among the substitutes as well for Stoke City, who have won five of the last eight EPL games and collected 16 points during that period.

Jesus Navas, Fabian Delph, Gael Clichy and Kelechi Iheanacho are on the bench for Manuel Pellegrini side at the Britannia Stadium.

Manchester City are the favourites for this game, but remember Stoke City beat defending champions Chelsea at home already, so this is expected to be a walk over.

Stoke City team: Butland, Pieters, Johnson, Shawcross, Wollscheid, Whelan, Cameron, Shaqiri, Arnautovic, Afellay, Bojan. Subs: Haugaard, Joselu, Wilson, Van Ginkel, Adam, Diouf, Walters.
