TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Top seed Florida State will battle No. 4 seed Samford in Game 2 at the 2018 Tallahassee Regional at Dick Howser Stadium and you can stream it live on ESPN3 and WatchESPN on Friday night.

The initial time for the first pitch was slated for 7:00 pm ET.

The No. 7 national seed Florida State (43-17) will be hosting its 35th regional and making its 41st consecutive postseason appearance, which is the second-longest streak in history and longest active streak.

Meanwhile, Samford (36-24) is set to make its second all-time appearance in the Tallahassee Regional. Its first postseason appearance was in 2012.

The last time they met in the postseason, FSU picked up 8-1 and 5-2 victories in the Tallahassee Regional.

Samford has won eight of its last nine games, including the comfortable 4-0 record at the SoCon Tournament and is confident about extended that run during this tournament.

Both Florida State and Samford have met 22 times before, including last season when the Seminoles swept the Bulldogs in three games.

FSU leads the all-time series 21-1.

Samford enters this game without fear against nationally ranked team, following two wins against nationally-ranked opponents this season in No. 21 Auburn and No. 22 UCF.
