In Manchester City teams news, summer recruit Ilkay Gundogan has been handed his debut, as the German comes in for David Silva, who according to reports reaching SportingAlert.com, was rested for ‘precautionary measure.’
Gundogan will join Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling in support of striker Sergio Aguero.
Fernandinho and Jesus Navas both start as well for the Citizens, with Pablo Zabaleta, John Stones, Nicolas Otamendi and Aleksandar Kolarov starting the back four.
Kelechi Iheanacho, who netted against Manchester United in the derby win, starts on the bench today, as he makes way for Aguero in the attack.
Bacary Sagna,Nolito and Leroy Sane are also on the bench.
Meanwhile, Raffael Caetano is among the starters for Borussia Monchengladbach, with Thorgan Hazard, the brother of Chelsea forward Eden Hazard, starting on the bench.
American Fabian Johnson, Andreas Christensen, Christoph Kramer, Oscar Wendt, Lars Stindl and Andre Hahn are also starters for the German side, with Yann Sommer starting between the sticks.
