In team news, Uruguay head coach Oscar Tabarez, as expected, recalled veteran forward Diego Forlan to his starting lineup to replace the banned Luis Suarez in the attack.

Forlan, who started ahead of Suarez in the World Cup group stage opener against Costa Rica, will partner Edinson Cavani.

Diego Godin, who scored the winning goal in the dumping of Italy leads the back line.

Maxi Pereira starts at right-back with Nicolas Lodeiro back on the bench this evening.

Meanwhile, Jackson Martinez, who scored twice against Japan start ahead of Victor Ibarbo, with Juan Cuadrado, James Rodriguez and Teofilo Gutierrez also in the starting XI.

The winner of this evenings game will face Brazil in the quarter-final on July 4, this is after the hosts' beat Chile 3-2 on penalties after both teams played to a 1-1 tie.
