LIVERPOOL (Sporting Alert) — Liverpool will go top of the English Premier League table standings if they beat Cardiff City in the lunch time kick-off on Saturday.
The Reds are just two points behind Arsenal who take on Chelsea on Monday, so a victory at Anfield will see them taking over with a one point advantage.
Brendan Rodgers’ side hammered Tottenham 5-0 at White Hart Lane over the weekend and comes into this contest heavy favourites to secure all three points again.

With midfielder and skipper Steven Gerrard still out with a hamstring injury and striker Daniel Sturridge also unavailable due to an ankle problem, Rodgers decided to stick with the same side from the last time out.
That would mean that forward Luis Suarez, who is the EPL leading goalscorer with 17 goals, will continue to captain the side after playing the role so successfully against Tottenham.
Cardiff, in the meantime, sees manager Malky Mackay making one change from the side that won against West Brom last Saturday with midfielder Aron Gunnarsson replaces striker Fraizer Campbell..
