LeBron James and Heat were beaten 88-92 in Game 1 of the seven game series by the Spurs and the defending champions know that they must improve or run the risk of being embarrassed.

One of those calling for improvement his Miami forward Chris Bosh, who admits that he and his teammates must lift the intensity and play like their life depends on it.

“It’s always good to have a healthy dose of fear going into a situation like this,” Bosh said after the Heat went through its shootaround morning Sunday.

“That is a big part of success, you’re going to have to play with that fear.

“It makes you think quicker, it makes you do a little more. We’re going to have to play with that nice mix. It’s going to motivate us to play a lot better.”

Another star player, Dwyane Wade, who himself has been struggling in the latter part of the playoffs, also thinks the Heat must start to play with some urgency.

Wade also admits that it would very dangerous to travel to Texas down 0-2.

“It’s very urgent. Obviously you don’t want to go down 0-2 going to San Antonio for three straight games,” Wade said.

“Odds are not that good. They are not in our favor.

“We’re not a team that really says too much, ‘this is a must-win game.’ But this is a must-win game.”

Wade also warned: “Playoffs ain’t fun, man. I’m sorry to bust anyone on the outside’s bubble.

“As a player in the playoffs, you have no joy until it’s over and you won. If you don’t win, you have no joy for a while.”

San Antonio will again bank on the experiences of Tony Parker, Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili to help get a 2-0 lead at the AmericanAirlines Arena, but they also want to have fun in the process.

“We definitely are having fun,” Parker said. “I think we appreciate every moment. We don’t take anything for granted, because it’s been a long time.

“It’s been six years. Felt like forever. After the Memphis series, there was a lot of emotion.”

Very energetic, live for being outdoors and enjoying time with friends and family. Writing for me is a passion and I enjoy every bit of it!
