WATFORD, Sporting Alert – Memphis Depay starts in the attack for Manchester United in today’s English Premier League clash at Watford.
Depay, whose poor form recently saw him being dropped from the starting XI, returns to the lineup with Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial both out because of illness and injury.
Manager Louis van Gaal was forced to make four changes from the side that played the last time, with Michael Carrick joining Rooney and Martial on the missing list and Marcos Rojo dropped to the bench after his long trip back from Argentina for international duties.
This sees Phil Jones, Morgan Schneiderlin and Ander Herrera all starting for Manchester United, which sit fourth in the EPL table standings.
Juan Mata, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Jesse Lingard all start as well, while youngsters Sean Goss and Marcus Rashford making the bench.
There is no place for James Wilson though.
Manchester United are without Marouane Fellaini, Antonio Valencia and Luke Shaw as well.
Meanwhile, Watford made one change to the side that featured the last time out as Nathan Ake drops to the bench, with Jose Juarado starting in his place.
Leading Watford striker Odion Ighalo was an injury doubt for this game, but fit enough to play and starts up front for the Hornets.
Belgian striker Obbi Oulare is on the bench today for the first time.
Manchester United can go top of the EPL table standings with the victory in this early kick-off as three points today would put them on 28pts, two more than current leaders Manchester City, who play later.
