NORWICH (Sporting Alert) — Wayne Rooney misses Manchester United’s Premier League away clash with Norwich City with a groin problem, manager David Moyes confirmed ahead of the game.

Rooney, who has been in great form for Manchester United this season, played the full 90 minutes and scored in the come from behind 3-2 victory over Hull City, but has now re-injured the groin problem that had also kept him out of the Stoke City game.

TheĀ recurrence of the injury, however, should not keep him from playing in the clash against Tottenham on Wednesday.

Javier Hernandez starts up front in place for Rooney, while Shinji Kagawa will play in the hole behind the Mexican.

Danny Welbeck starts on the bench.
