Wesley Sneijder Ready To Push For Man United Move

MANCHESTER (Sporting Alert) — Manchester United are in need of central midfielders and long time target Wesley Sneijder is apparently ready to push for a move to join the English Premier League side.

According to the Daily Mail, the Dutch playmaker has been growing unsettled at Galatasaray and would welcome a move to play in the more highlighted league in England.

Sneijder was linked with a move to Old Trafford in the summer of 2012 and according to the then Inter Milan man, the deal collapsed because of a wage demand.

But it is now understood that the Holland star, who is reportedly currently on a £6m a year deal, would entertain a £1m reduction if it helps his case to join fellow countryman Robin van Persie.

Manchester United missed out at signing several transfer targets in the summer window, and are clearly in need of central midfielders, with the likes of Tom Cleverley, Anderson and summer recruit Marouane Fellaini, just not good enough.

It is not Manchester United transfer trend to sign players in January, but with Michael Carrick out injured and Ryan Giggs unable to play week after week, boss David Moyes knows that he cannot wait until the summer transfer window to freshen up the squad he inherited from Sir Alex Ferguson at the end of last season.
