Duke scored a close 54-51 victory over Oregon State with Kyle Filipowski collecting a double-double with a career-high 19 points and 14 rebounds on his way to tallying his fourth double-double of the season, while Ryan Young scored 11 points and grabbed a career-high 15 boards.

Meanwhile, Colby Jones and Souley Boum each scored 22 points for Xavier to defeat Florida 90-83 on Thursday in opening-round play of the Phil Knight Legacy. The Musketeers are ranked sixth in college basketball with 21.4 assists per game led by Jones averaging 6.0.

The Blue Devils, in the meantime, are being led by freshman star Kyle Filipowski, who is scoring 16.2 points per game and averaging 11.0 rebounds. Team captain Jeremy Roach is averaging 11.3 points and 2.2 rebounds for the Blue Devils, who lead the ACC with 15.2 offensive rebounds per game.
