Notes | Kansas Texas Big 12 Conference |
The Jayhawks vs Longhorns clash will be the first of two-straight games in the state of Texas for the KU who will not play at Baylor on Tuesday.
At 7-0, Kansas is the lone undefeated team in the 2014 Big 12 race. At 5-2, Texas is a half-game behind Oklahoma (6-2) and in third place in the league standings. Texas will be the ninth ranked team Kansas will have faced in 2013-14. The Jayhawks have defeated their last five ranked opponents and are 6-2 versus AP top 25 teams this season.
Since the Big 12 began in 1996-97, Kansas is 74-16 (82.2 percent) against conference teams from the state of Texas, including 26-12 (68.4 percent) in those games played in the Lone Star State.
Under Bill Self, KU is 48-14 (77.4 percent) versus the Big 12 Texans (Baylor, TCU, Texas, Texas Tech and Texas A&M) since 2003-04 and 16-9 (64.0 percent) when those meetings are played in Texas.
