AP College Football Poll: Florida State, Auburn 1-2 – Dec. 8

As expected, Florida State have finished the college football regular season as No. 1 in The Associated Press poll, while Auburn jumped to No. 2 in the rankings.

NEW YORK (Sporting Alert) — As expected, Florida State have finished the college football regular season No. 1 in The Associated Press poll, while Auburn jumped to No. 2 in the rankings.

Florida State (13-0) received 56 of the 60 first-place votes from a group of media panel and a total of 1496 points, following their easy win over Duke to lift the ACC Championship title on Saturday.

Auburn (12-1), who defeated Missouri to win the SEC title, received the remaining four first-place votes for a tally of 1444 points, as they replaced Ohio State as the second ranked team in the country.

The college football regular season ended with Alabama (11-1) moving up one place to No. 4 without even playing a game.

Michigan State (12-1), which beat the Buckeyes to take the Big Ten championship jumped six spots and completed the top five.
