LONDON (Sporting Alert) — Everton on loan forward Gerard Deulofeu came off the bench to earn Roberto Martinez side a 1-1 draw with leaders Arsenal in the English Premier League at Emirates Stadium on Super Sunday.

Arsenal 1, Everton 1 – Video Highlights

Summer big transfer Mesut Ozil gave Arsenal the lead in the 80th minute when he fired home a nob back from Theo Walcott that was initially missed by Olivier Giroud inside the six yard box.

At that time, it looked as though Arsene Wenger’s side was on it way to going seven points clear in the Barclays English Premier League table standings, but Everton kept pushing for an equaliser and they were rewarded with six minutes to go.

A Ross Barkley pass found an unmarked Deulofeu inside the penalty box and the Barcelona wonderkid used his skills to dance around the ball and make room to setup his shot, before firing home from 10 yards past goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.

The draw sees Arsenal going five points clear in the English Premier League table on 35pts, while Everton remain fifth with 28pts.
