LONDON (Sporting Alert) — Listen to all 10 English Premier League games live on talkSport Radio on Boxing Day on Friday, Dec. 26.
Leaders Chelsea will look to go six-points clear at the top of the standings when they take on West Ham United at Stamford Bridge.
Jose Mourinho’s side is on 42 points, three more than defending champions Manchester City, but a win in the early kick-off would see the Blues opening a bigger margin at the top.
Star playmaker Eden Hazard is fit to start after limping off during the win at Stoke City on Monday night and he has been joined in the midfield by Oscar, who returns to the starting team for John Obi Mikel after sitting on the bench in the last outing.
West Ham named James Collins, Mark Noble and Enner Valencia all in its starting lineup, but Alex Song is only on the bench.
Second place Manchester City will travel to The Hawthorns to play West Brom without several key players, including leading defender and Vincent Kompany (hamstring/calf), as well as forwards Sergio Aguero (knee), Edin Dzeko (calf) and Stevan Jovetic (hamstring), who are all sidelined because of injuries.
The Citizens played the last game without a recognized striker with James Milner and David Silva operating in the advanced roles in the 3-0 home win against Crystal Palace over the weekend.
Third place Manchester United will take on Newcastle United at Old Trafford, with Louis van Gaal hoping his side can pick-up all three points, following the 1-1 draw at Aston Villa the last time out.
Defender Chris Smalling could be fit for the clash, but midfielders Marouane Fellaini (illness), Ander Herrera (muscle injury) and Daley Blind (knee), who recently returned to training are all expected to be out.
United will be hoping for a win to keep the pressure on Chelsea and Manchester City, while Newcastle need to stop its two game losing streak.
Elsewhere on Boxing Day, Arsenal, who drew 2-2 with Liverpool in the last outing, will take on Queens Park Rangers, Burnley play host to Liverpool at Turf Moor, Southampton travel to Crystal Palace, while Tottenham are away to Leicester City.
