NBA Update and Standings

Among the teams scoring NBA wins on Sunday were the Portland Trail Blazers (20-4) who continue to impress this season.

At The Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit, LaMarcus Aldridge scored 27 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for the Trail Blazers to come away with an overtime 111-109 win over the Detroit Pistons (11-14).

Damian Lillard also impressed on the night, scoring 23 points, dishing out seven assists and had three steals, while Nicolas Batum added 18 points and Robin Lopez finished with 13 rebounds and 12 points in the victory for Portland.

The Phoenix Suns (14-9) warmed up for their clash on Wednesday with the San Antonio Spurs with a narrow 106-102 victory over the Golden State Warriors (13-12) for their fifth successive win and improved to 5-1 in December.

In another NBA score, the Oklahoma City Thunder (19-4) held on to beat the Orlando Magic (7-17), 101-98 for their six in a row.
