Cavaliers top Bucks without James and Irving in preseason

CLEVELAND (SportingAlert) — Kevin Love scored 25 points and Dion Waiters supported with 23 and the Cleveland Cavaliers registered a 106-100 victory against the Milwaukee Bucks in a preseason game on Tuesday night.

Newcomer Shawn Marion added 11 points and seven rebounds for the Cavaliers, which rested both LeBron James and Kyrie Irving and played without Tristan Thompson as well.

Rookie Jabari Parker led the Milwaukee Bucks with 18 points, while Jared Dudley, who knocked down 5 of 5 from three point range adding 15 off the bench.

John Henson and O.J. Mayo each scored 13 points off the bench, while Ersan Ilyasova had 10 points and nine rebounds and Khris Middleton finished with 10 points for Cleveland, who won three games in a row in preseason so far.

Milwaukee led 53-51 at half-time.

With 4:39 left, A.J. Price hit the go ahead of three pointer to make it 94-91 and Chris Crawford added another from 25-foot to make it 97-91 before the Cavaliers held on for the victory.
