Champions Classic on ESPN: No. 1 Kentucky and No. 5 Kansas
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Sporting Alert) -- No. 1 Kentucky and No. 5 Kansas will meet in the State Farm Champions Classic on Tuesday night at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Tip-off time will be at 9:00 PM ET and will be televised on ESPN and the Watch ESPN app.
The match-up will bring together the NCAA Division I college basketball two winningest programs, with both teams looking to add to their respective list of wins.
Kentucky (2-0) has started the season with two victory, although it needed to rally in the second half for the 71-52 win over Buffalo on Sunday, while Kansas opened with campaign with a 69-59 victory over UC Santa Barbara.
The Wildcats are averaging 78.0 points per game from their two openers, while giving up just 48.5, which could see a strong battle at the defensive end.
This clash will be the second game of the night's doubleheader and it follows the matchup between No. 4 Duke and No. 19 Michigan State, a game that will go off at 6:00 PM ET.
The Spartans (1-0) edged past the Navy Midshipmen 64-59 in their lone game of the 2014-15 season, while the Blue Devils (2-0) had wins over Fairfield and Presbyterian over the weekend.
Playing on Tuesday night as well is No. 9 Virginia against South Carolina State, live on ESPN3.
