The Blues will be hoping that striker Diego Costa and attacking playmaker Eden Hazard can recover from minor injuries after the pair were forced to pull out of midweek international games.
It is understood that new signing Loic Remy is in line to make his debut for Chelsea, should Costa failed to recover, after the French striker trained with his new teammates for the first time this week, following his move from QPR during the just concluded transfer window.
Swansea City, in the meantime, could hand new recruit Federico Fernandez his debut for the club, although manager Garry Monk is unlikely to mess with the current starting XI.
Ashley Williams and Jordi Amat have been impressive so far at centerback and Monk is expected to keep on milking the pair until he’s forced to make adjustments.
The Swans have enjoyed a very good start to the season – winning all three of its games, which include beating Manchester United 2-1 at Old Trafford on opening day.
They also beat Burnley 1-0 and hammered West Brom 3-0.
Chelsea have also won all three of their EPL games this early season – include coming out on top in a nine-goal 6-3 thriller at Everton the last time out.
Heading into the game, Jose Mourinho will be banking on his side’s quality at the back.
The Blues have kept eight clean sheet in their last 9 home matches in the English Premier League, but does face a Swansea side which has netted at least two goals in six of their last seven away matches in the EPL.
Chelsea won both fixtures last year and are favourites to make it three in a row this weekend.
