LONDON, Sporting Alert – English Premier League fixtures for matches scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 13 and Wednesday, Dec. 14.
Two games are listed for Tuesday with the remaining eight matches slated for Wednesday.
Defending champions Leicester City, coming off an impressive 4-2 victory over title chasers Manchester City on Saturday, will seek to build on that performance against Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium.
Another three points would continue to ease the pressure off manager Claudio Ranieri after his side made a dismal start to its title defense.
Foxes forward Jamie Vardy scored a hat-trick against Manchester City and is expected to model similar problems to Bournemouth, which suffered a 3-2 defeat to Burnley over the weekend.
Also on the schedule Tuesday is the clash between Arsenal and Everton at Goodison Park.
Arsenal are hoping to return to the summit before Chelsea kick-off on Wednesday, but manager Arsene Wenger is bracing for another tough battle with Ronald Koeman’s side, despite The Toffees struggles in recent fixtures.
“We always prepare well because it’s a very difficult ground,” Wenger acknowledged. “It’s a ground which has a soul and is full of history, and that certainly keeps us on alert.”
Koeman also reveals his plans ahead of the clash.
“If we keep a compact team we can make it difficult for them,” he said. “This Arsenal team is one of the favourites to win the title.”
Leaders Chelsea will go into their fixture against Sunderland as heavy favourites to pick up a 10th successive win and four in a row on the road in the Premier League.
The Blues are looking to win five in a row on the road for the first time since April 2015.
In other English Premier League fixtures on Wednesday, Manchester United visit Crystal Palace, Manchester City will play host to Watford, Tottenham entertain Hull City in London, while Middlesbrough will host Liverpool.
