English Premier League Schedule Week 11: Nov. 5

LONDON, Sporting Alert – Fixtures and game times for the English Premier League matches on Saturday, Nov. 5 and Sunday, Nov. 6.

Leaders Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal are all in action this weekend, with two of the three clubs playing on Sunday.

Fresh off their comeback 3-1 victory over Barcelona in a Champions League group match on Tuesday, Manchester City will look to go three points clear of their closest rivals in the EPL points standings.

The Citizens will take on Middlesbrough at Etihad Stadium in Manchester, starting at 11:00am ET (1500 GMT).

A win for Pep Guardiola’s men would see them moving to 26 points, but the Spaniard isn’t getting too carried away.

Meanwhile, despite being the heavy underdogs to gain a point at Etihad Stadium Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka revealed that his team is “looking forward” to playing against the English Premier League leaders.

“We’ve been working three years to play this kind of game against Manchester City,” said Karanka. “We’re really looking forward to it.”

On Sunday, Arsenal will host Tottenham Hotspur in the London derby, while Liverpool will entertain Watford.

In other English Premier League games on the schedule, Swansea City play Manchester United, Chelsea host Everton, Leicester City take on West Bromwich and Bournemouth meet Sunderland.

Everton will be without Idrissa Gana Gueye, who is suspended. The Senegal international has made an impressively start since moving from Aston Villa and Toffees manager Ronald Koeman admits that he will be missed, but believes he has good enough cover.

“We know Gana (Gueye) is doing well and he has brought a lot of energy to the team,” Koeman said. “He’s a miss but it’s not about one player.”

Ahead Sunday’s London derby with Spurs, Gunners manager Arsene Wenger said: “We have to expect Tottenham to be at their best and respond really with a performance that will be effective.

“I believe the mastery on our side will be no matter who they play, how well they play, that we are strong enough to win the game.”

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino revealed he will have Harry Kane back to face Arsenal.

“Harry will be in the squad, he’s available. It’s all going well. It’s very good to have him back,” he said.
