English Premier League table standings, scores on March 23

LONDON (Sporting Alert) — Results, scores and English Premier League table standings, following the round of games that took place on Saturday and Sunday March, 22 an 23.

Chelsea were the biggest winners on the weekend, after Jose Mourinho’s men hammered Arsenal 6-0 in a one-sided contest at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Defeat saw Chelsea continue to lead the table standings with 69 points, four more than second place Liverpool, who have played one game less and six points ahead of Manchester City, who have three games to make up on the Blues.

Liverpool, behind a hat-trick from Luis Suarez hammered Cardiff City 6-3, while Yaya Toure also netted a three-times to lead Manchester City to a 5-0 victory over 10-man Fulham.

In other results, Manchester United beat West Ham United 2-0, while Everton secured a 3-2 win over Swansea City.

On Sunday, Tottenham came from two-goals down to beat Southampton 3-2, with Southampton netting the winner.

The English Premier tables standings top five, meanwhile, is completed by Arsenal in fourth on 62 points and Tottenham, fifth with 56 points.

Facing relegation battle are Sunderland, Cardiff City and Fulham.
