Gotze, who scored the winning goal at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, has been trending in the media in recent weeks over his future with Bayern Munich, will be hoping to remind his current bosses of his talent when he suits up for the national team on Sunday.

The talented forward will play in an experimental attacking lineup for Germany, with the likes of Julian Draxler and Leroy Sane also playing as supporters.

A rejuvenated Mario Gomez will start central as he looks to carry over his club form into the national team ahead of Euro 2016.

Also starting for the World Cup champions are Sebastian Rudy and Sami Khedira who will hold things down in the midfield, while Jerome Boateng, Joshua Kimmich, Antonio Rudiger and Jonas Hector all start in the backline.

There is no Manuel Neuer so Bernd Leno gets the chance to start between the sticks in today’s game.

Barcelona’s Marc-Andre ter Stegen is also on the bench today, alongside Shkodran Mustafi, Benedikt Howedes, Andre Schurrle, Emre Can and Julian Weigl.

Season campaigners Marek Hamsik and Vladimir Weiss are among the players in the starting lineup for Slovakia.

Michal Duris is charge of getting the goals, while Martin Skrtel leads the backline, alongside Patrik Hrosovsky and Dusan Svento.

Ondrej Duda and Juraj Kucka start as well.
