Like the rest of the organizations in the league, the Packers will also play four exhibitions as they prepare for the coming season.

At the time of writing this schedule report, Green Bay has already played two games in the preseason and holds a 1-1 record heading into Week 3.

In Week 1, the Packers put away the New England Patriots 22-11 on the road at Gillette Stadium on Aug. 13, with Alonzo Harris, Aaron Rodgers, Scott Tolzien and Jeff Janis all involved and making pretty good contributions.

However, Week 2 saw the NFC North side going down 24-19 away again against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The final two games of the Packers preseason schedule will be at home at Lambeau Field – where they will take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday, Aug 29, at 8:00 pm ET in Week 3 and then host the New Orleans Saints on Thursday, Sep. 3 at 7:00 PM ET.

LOOKING AT THE NUMBERS AFTER WEEK 2

So far this preseason, the Green Bay Packers have managed to put up 606 total yards, at an average of 4.4 yards per play.

Backup Tolzien if 21-of-35 for 209 yards and no interceptions from two games, with starter Rodgers, going 15-of-24 for 174 yards.

Green Bay also had 13 penalties and gave up 131 yards in the two preseason contests thus far.

Meanwhile, the team continues to prepare without the service of wide receiver Jordy Nelson, who suffered a right knee injury in the last game at Pittsburgh.

The eighth-year pro will miss the remainder of the season, the team revealed this week and there is a rush to find a suitable target man for the star receiver.

Packers open its season on Sep. 13 against the Chicago Bears on the road and the players are hoping to get things together before the start of the regular campaign.

“It’s the urgency. We’re a couple weeks out from the season opener now, and we need to know who we can count on,” receiver Randall Cobb said on www.packers.com.

“Who are the guys that are going to step up and make those plays for us in those critical times during the season?

“We have to find that out. There’s not a lot of time.”
