The surprise news today for France is that defender Raphael Varane starts in the heart of the defense and will partner Dayot Upamecanoin the back four. Varane picked up a thigh injury while playing in the Premier League for Manchester United, but the centerback is now fully fit and starts today. Varane replaces Ibrahima Konate in the starting XI, while manager Didier Deschamps also bring in Jules Kounde to replace Benjamin Pavard at right-back. The team also includes Kylian Mbappé, Olivier Giroud, Adrien Rabiot, Ousmane Dembele, and Antoine Griezmann. The injured Lucas Hernandez is also out and is replaced by brother Theo Hernandez

Meanwhile, Christian Eriksen, Andreas Christensen and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg are among the starters today for Denmark who will be hoping for a win today in this crucial group match to stay in qualification contention after Australia picked up a win earlier today.
