SINGAPORE, Sporting Alert — Manchester United target Ivan Perisic starts again for Inter Milan against Chelsea in today’s 2017 International Champions Cup game at the National Stadium in Singapore.
Perisic has constantly been linked to the Red Devils but the Italian club has repeated said it has no desire to sell the winger and starting him again is another indication of where his future lies.
The Croatian starts on the left side of the Inter Milan attack today with Antonio Candreva playing on the other side.
Marcelo Brozovic will start in the No. 10 position with Stevan Jovetic leading the front line.
Borja Valero and Roberto Gagliardini start as the central midfielders, while Miranda, Milan Skriniar, Yuto Nagatomo, Danilo D`Ambrosio and Marcelo Brozovic are playing in front of goalkeeper Daniele Padelli.
Meanwhile, for Chelsea, new summer signing Alvaro Morata get his first start for the English Premier League champions.
Morata came off the bench in the friendly defeat to Bayern Munich in midweek, but the £60m striker will be on the pitch from the opening whistle in his second match in a Blues shirt.
The Spaniard will play along Michy Batshuayi and Willian in the Chelsea three man attack.
In the meantime, N’Golo Kanté and Cesc Fàbregas will dictate the pace in the middle of the park for Antonio Conte’s side, while Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses are the wing-backs.
Thibaut Courtois will start in goal with David Luiz, Gary Cahill and César Azpilicueta playing in the three man backline.
