Defender Jon Flanagan comes in as a replacement for Glen Johnson, who is ill, in an otherwise unchanged side that defeated West Bromwich Albion 4-1 last weekend.
Jordan Henderson starts in midfield, alongside Steven Gerrard and Lucas, while the attack is once again led by Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez.
Meanwhile, Olivier Giroud, Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey Mikel Arteta, Tomas Rosicky and Santi Cazorla all start for Arsenal who leads the the points standing with 22 points.
