LONDON (Sporting Alert) — Arsenal has extended their lead over Liverpool in their English Barclays Premier League clash at Emirates Stadium after going 2-0 up in the second half.

Santi Cazorla fired home a wonderful strike in the first half and Arsenal added another in the second through Aaron Ramsey, who struck a beauty.

A wonderful run down the right hand side saw full-back Bacary Sagna delivering a good cross which picked out Cazorla, but the unmarked Spaniard saw his header crashing off the post.

But while Liverpool defenders stand and watched the Arsenal man reacted first to fired home the loose ball past Simon Mignolet in the 19th minute.

In the 59th minute the Gunners went 2-0 up when the on form Ramsey fired over the head of Mignolet to extend the leaders’ advantage in the contest.

Arsenal is currently keeping Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez very quiet in this game and Liverpool is struggling to find any other attacking options from elsewhere.

Arsenal leads the EPL with 22 points and would go five clear of Liverpool should they go on to win this game.
