NBA Scores and Records on Dec. 26

(Sporting Alert) — Here are the NBA scores, results and records from the games that took place in the league on Thursday night.

Recording wins on the night were the Portland Trail Blazers (24-5), San Antonio Spurs (23-7), Atlanta Hawks (16-13) and the Houston Rockets (20-11).

In a double overtime contest at the Quicken Loans Arena, the Atlanta Hawks picked up a 127-125 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers (10-18), with Jeff Teague, who scored a career-high 34 points, including the winning jumper in the second overtime, leading the way.

Star point guard Kyrie Irving paced the Cavaliers with 40 points, nine assists and four rebounds. He scored 12 of his tallied points in the second overtime.

In another NBA score on Thursday, the Portland Trail Blazers beat the Los Angeles Clipper (20-11) 116-112 in overtime, with forward, who started the day as a game time decision finishing with 32 points and 10 rebounds.

Blake Griffin scored 35 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for the Clippers, while Chris Paul added 34 points and 16 assists in the overtime defeat.

In other NBA Scores on the night, the Houston Rockets beat the Memphis Grizzlies (12-16) 100-92, with James Harden and Jeremy Lin coming up big in the fourth quarter.

Harden scored 11 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter, while Lin added 14 of his 18 points in the last quarter of the game as well. Zach Randolph had a team-high 23 points and 17 rebounds for the Grizzlies in the defeat.

Elsewhere, San Antonio Spurs beat the Dallas Mavericks (16-13) 116-107, with Danny Green going a perfect 7 for 7 from the floor, including 5 of 5 for three pointers in his 22 points outing. He also went 3 of 3 from the free throw line.

Tony Parker had a team-high 23 points, while Tim Duncan finished with 21 points and 13 rebounds.

Forward Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavericks with a game-high 25 points and Monta Ellis added 23 in the defeat.
