PORTLAND (Sporting Alert) — Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge will play for Portland Trail Blazers in Thursday night’s NBA clash against the Los Angeles Clippers at Moda Center.
Aldridge, who has been in top form for the Trail Blazers (23-5) this season had surgery for wisdom teeth and Terry Stotts said that he was a game-time decision.
However, Aldridge, who is averaging 23.1 points and 11 rebounds per game this season, will start as usual for Portland, which won six of its last seven games.
Meanwhile, guard Mo Williams will play on Thursday night against his former club after recovering from a right hip contusion.
Portland, who are 11-2 at home, registered a 110-107 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans in its last outing on Saturday and the players are eager to get back on the court.
The Los Angeles Clippers (20-10) were beaten 105-103 at the Golden State Warriors in their Christmas Day fixture on Wednesday night.
