NBA Scores and Results on Nov. 7

(Sporting Alert) — The Los Angeles Lakers, Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat all registered wins the NBA on Thursday night.

Two-time defending champions Miami Heat defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 102-97 with Dwyane Wade leading the way with 29 points and LeBron James adding 18 in the victory.

Blake Griffin scored 27 points and J.J. Redick finished with 15 for the Clippers. DeAndre Jordan ended with 11 points and 14 rebounds and Chris Paul had 11 points and 12 assists in the defeat.

Elsewhere, Steve Blake, who scored 14 points, hit a catch and shoot three-points with 1.3 seconds left and the Los Angeles Lakers stunned the Houston Rockets 99-98 at Toyota Center.

Reserves Jodie Meeks, who scored 18 points and Shawne Williams, who had 16, paced the Lakers. Pau Gasol went 1-of-10 from the field for just two  points, but did had 12 rebounds.

James Harden had a game high 35 points and nine rebounds for the Rockets.

In the night’s other games, the Denver Nuggets beat the Atlanta Hawks, 109-107.

Ty Lawson had 23 points, eight assists and seven rebounds for Nuggets, while Paul Millsap top scored for the Hawks with 29 points and 10 boards.
