(Sporting Alert) — Results and scores from the NCAA March Madness – college men’s basketball national championship – games that took place on Sunday (March 23).

The biggest stunner on the game saw the 8th-seeded Kentucky (26-10) ending the perfect run of No. 1 seeded Wichita State (35-1), 78-76.

Andrew Harrison scored 20 points, while twin Aaron Harrison added 19 and Julius Randle had 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Wildcats, who were determined to prove that they are good enough to win this year’s title.

“I’ve been doing this so long. I’ve been in wars,” Kentucky head coach John Calipari said.

“You all understand this was an Elite Eight game. The winner of this should have gone to the Final Four.”

Cleanthony Early led the Shockers with 31 points, while Ron Baker added 20 points in the defeat.

Losing also on the day was No. 2 seeded Kansas (25-10), who suffered a 67-57 defeat to the 10th-seeded Stanford (23-12), as the Jayhawks’ star guard Andrew Wiggins was held for just four points.
