DETROIT, Sporting Alert – Scores and updated plays in today’s NFL clash between the Eagles and Lions
Inactives for the opening Thanksgiving Day NFL game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Detroit Lions at Ford Field.
The Lions are 2.5-point favourites to beat the Eagles, who have dropped three of the last four games.
Mark Sanchez starts at quarterback for the Eagles, despite Sam Bradford passing a concussion protocol this week.
Bradford has been listed as inactive for today.
Bradford, who has thrown for 2297 yards so far this season and has a 37.4 QBR, is still being troubled by a left shoulder sprained and will not get the starting role today for Chip Kelly’s side in Detroit.
He will go up against Matthew Stafford, who has been very good on Thanksgiving the past three years, according to ESPN Stats and Info.
Stafford has gone (390), (330) and (441) yards in those three games.
Calvin Johnson is listed as active for today against the Eagles, after being listed as questionable with an ankle injury in the week.
Cornerback Darius Slay, defensive tackle Caraun Reid and safety Don Carey, are also all listed active for the Lions.
