(Sporting Alert) — No. 4 University of Oregon men won the 2013 Bill Dellinger Invitational at the Springfield Country Club on Saturday.
The Ducks posted an overall team score of 32 points to edged home in front of Boise State, who collected 39pts.
Edward Cheserek paced home Oregon with a second place finish in a time of 24:00, while Parker Stinson (4th, 24:17), Daniel Winn (6th, 24:22) and Matthew Melancon (10th, 24:26) all finished in the top ten for the home team.
Washington’s Aaron Nelson won the individual title with a time of 23:55.
For Boise State, Allan Schroeder (24:19), Drew O’Donoghue-McDona (24:23), David Elliott (24:24), Jeff Howard (24:27), Aaron Back (24:31) ran impressively to guide the team to second place.
On the team side, Washington scored 87 for third, Portland was fourth with a team scored 87pts as well, while Gonzaga completed the top five with a team score of 121pts.
