The meeting will be the opener for several top athletes, including Kenyan 800m world record holder David Rudisha, who seems to have recovered from a knee injury. Ethiopian Mohammed Aman and Sudan’s Abubakar Kaki are also in the lineup.

Also competing at the meet and making her outdoor debut is American teenage middle distance star Mary Cain, who will take on compatriots Chanelle Price, Maggie Vessey and Great Britain’s Jemma Simpson in section two of the women’s High Performance 800m.
