The Spanish La Liga giants were stunned 2-0 in Germany in last week's first leg and will need to score at least three goals to turn around the result at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The lone change comes in the backline with Dani Carvajal comes in for Danilo, who will start today's game on the bench.

In the attack, Karim Benzema, who missed the weekend's La Liga one-sided win over Eibar because of an injury, returns to the starting line-up and will play alongside Gareth Bale, who was also rested at the weekend and Cristiano Ronaldo in the Real Madrid attack.

French defender Raphael Varane is fit again, but the centre-back is only on the bench, with Zidane going with Pepe and Sergio Ramos in the heart of the backline.

Marcelo, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Casemiro are the other starters.

James Rodriguez, who was impressive against Eibar, has to take a seat on the bench, as his frustration for more first team football continues.

Lucas, Jese and Isco are also on the bench.

Meanwhile, the Wolfsburg starting setup includes Julian Draxler, Andre Schurrle, Dante and Luiz Gustavo.

The German side, although not over-confident, believes it can keep Real Madrid fruitless at home, which would knock the European powerhouse out of this year's Champions League.

But for that to happen, Wolfsburg must keep the home supporters quiet from the start and stop the likes of Ronaldo, Bale, Modric and Kroos from getting on the ball.

Full Team Line-ups

Real Madrid XI: Navas; Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo; Casemiro, Modric, Kroos; Bale, Ronaldo, Benzema. Subs: Casilla, Varane, Danilo, Lucas, Isco, Jese, James Rodriguez

Wolfsburg XI: Benaglio, Vieirinha, Naldo, Dante, Ricardo Rodriguez, Guilavogui, Gustavo, Henrique Pinto, Arnold, Draxler, Schurrle. Subs: Casteels, Schafer, Caligiuri, Kruse, Dost, Trasch, Knoche
