MANCHESTER (Sporting Alert) — Wayne Rooney stunningly start for Manchester United in today’s English Premier League clash against newly promoted Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

Rooney, who suffered a cut to the head during training before the Liverpool clash, was see as doubtful for the contest after he was forced to missed England’s recent World Cup qualifiers, but comes back, wearing a protection on his head.
Manchester United manager David Moyes made four changes from the side that suffered a 1-0 to Liverpool in the last outing.
Fabio Da Silva, starts at right-back, while midfielders Antonio Valencia and Anderson also start. Tom Cleverley, Danny Welbeck, Ryan Giggs and Phil Jones, who is injured, were the players replaced.
There is still no Shinji Kagawa, or Nani, but Javier Hernandez and Zaha are on the bench.
New summer signing Marouane Fellaini is on the bench and is expected to make his debut today.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace Ian Holloway makes just one change from the side that defeated Sunderland in their last English Premier League game, with defender Adrian Mariappa replacing Joel Ward.
